| I purchased this drive and have not had a problem with is since I got it. The transfer rate is what you would expect from a USB 2.0. There is no firewire in the box that I got, the 750 GB does not have a firewire port on it. (Just don't want to lead any of you a stray as some of the other posts may do). But to sum it all up this is a great product and I liked it some much that I know own 3 of them, yes 2.25TB of pure fun. That should say it all! Enjoy :) |

| Bought for my Mac for extra storage space. Nothing but issues. Seagate/Maxtor is giving me the run-around. DO NOT BUY!! Have gone through 3 replacements and still having issues. |

| Undocks with no warning and gives a MBR$ error when connected through firewire on XP. Microsoft had 2 untested patches related to this but neither worked. I have it on my USB2 with no problems, however, my computer will not boot past post when it is turned on. The Maxtor software is not necessary and I never made use of it so I uninstalled it and choose to just drag and drop or use the Windows briefcase option for syncing. Other than the nuisance encountered trying to get this thing to work via firewire, it is performing just fine with USB2. |

| Superb product. Plug and play right out of the box with Windows XP (didn't even need to install the included software.) Firewire and USB cables included. Solidly built and quiet operation. Great price, quick shipping. Thanks again Tiger! |
