New DDR2 Support Jump Starts Transfer Rates
DDR2 memory is the next generation of DDR memory that supports the open standards
efforts of the Joint Electronic Device Engineering Council (JEDEC), the governing
body for integrated circuit specifications. It uses an advanced signaling scheme
that can offer higher data transfer rates than DDR1 memory. The advanced signaling
scheme mentioned above allows high transfer rates using traditional PC motherboard
manufacturing techniques. DDR2 benefits to customers include lower voltage and
higher frequency headroom than DDR1 memory. Socket AM2 processors from AMD will
support DDR2 speeds of 400MHz, 533MHz, 667MHz and, for AMD Athlon™ 64 X2
dual-core and AMD Athlon™ 64 FX dual-core processors, 800MHz.

| I must agree with gangsta69. I have a similar system and can run all my games on high settings without lagging.Only warning for those looking to buy this processor, check out your motherboard specs carefully. The cooling fans for these are HUGE. You will need to find the right fan for your specific motherboard. They list the measurements for a reason. |

| I got this CPU with a ASUS M2N E Sli Board, and as for the guy wondering about gaming, well i have a 8800 GT and 2 gigs of crosair ram 800mhz dual channel, and i can play crysis at 1024x768, with 4x AA and all settings on high, no lag, it looks gorgeous... the cpu is amazing u barely ever max it out and i would deffently recomend it for this price, buy itt |

| The specs on this are wrong, it is actually a 65nm brisbane core, not a 90nm windsor core. This thing smokes though! |
